Gacha Cultural Space participates in the 'Revelations' fair: the International Biennale of Crafts and Creative Arts, organized at the Grand Palais in Paris, by the Ateliers d'Art de France.

 
 

The Revelation fair ?

 
 

The Revelation fair organized twice a year since 2013 by the Ateliers d’Art de France, professional trade union of the Crafts,  brings together during 4 days more than 12 000 professionals from various backgrounds, (artists collectors, architect, decorators, gallerists, manufactures of luxury good, media, etc .), coming from more than 33 countries around the world.

 

 

It is expected to welcome 40, 000 visitors on average who will have the chance to explore, conférences, film screenings, workshops within the Grand Palais. They will be able to discover sometimes centuries-old (metal sculptures, jewerly, textile creations and ceramic works) alongside their many applications within  architecture, design, fashion  and fashion today.

 

 

2019 : Cameroon is in the spotlight and Barthélémy Toguo is the godfather.

« This is a truly prestigious honor for Cameroon and for its Crafts. An exhibition at the Grand Palais symbolizes an opening to the world and the choice reflets the great originality, singularity, our ability to innovate, as well as showcasing the quality to the talent Cameroon has ».

 

 

Revelations x Gacha ?

 

The Gacha Cultural Space and the Jean-Félicien Gacha Foundation joined this event, at the invitation of the Nelly Wandji Gallery (Paris, France) and alongside the Bandjoun Station art center (Bandjoun / Cameroon). 

 

The craftsmanship perpetuated in the workshops of the Jean-Félicien Gacha Foundation are presented at the salon ‘Révélations’ fair throught two monumental works: the art of ironwork and the art of beading.

 

The managers of the respective worshops -Gilbert Ouembe and Igénie Nomba- make the trip to Paris to present the work carried by their team. In addition, on the event, the Gacha Cultural Space organizes meetings for them with schools and institutions, for a sharing of experiences and practices. This covers :

Committed to the issue of the spreading know-how in Africa, the Gacha the Gacha Cultural Space participantes, alongside palais de Lomé (Togo) du Art of Connection (Afrique du Sud) and the Leap initiative Philanthropies (Bénin) in a round table on the theme: « What framework and what support for the artisans of art and creation in Africa ? »
