La fondation Gacha contribue à l’exposition : Cameroun, les arts rituels d’un peuple / Mars 2013

As part of the cycle Arts and cultures of the World, the museum of the Hôtel-Dieu of Mantes- la-Jolie presents until March 17, 2013 a new panorama on the ritual objects Cameroonian.

Masks, statuettes, head ornaments but also spoons, bracelets, necklaces, gender-blind are still used by the African people at the time of the protection ceremonies, fertility rituals, ancestor cults…172 pieces are gathered, coming from the vast majority of private collections.

 

The Cameroonian Foundation Jean-Félicien Gacha also helped to set up the exhibition. Booklets – fun for children – accompany the visit.
